The Venue

The National Olympics Memorial Youth Center, operated by the National Institution for Youth Education (NIYE), is a large educational and training facility in Yoyogi, Shibuya Ward. Established as a legacy of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics on part of the former Olympic Village site, it has welcomed educational and cultural groups from Japan and abroad for more than sixty years.

Its extensive campus brings together spaces for learning, accommodation, dining, and informal gatherings. WELL 2027 will make use of several of these facilities throughout the three-day program.

Experience WELL Your Way

Three days, a full program, and plenty of room to make your own plans. At WELL 2027,

how you spend your time is entirely up to you.

Follow the conference schedule from morning to evening, or pick and choose the sessions that interest you most. Take a break to explore the grounds, enjoy an unhurried meal, or return to your room for a little time to yourself. You can be as involved or as relaxed as you wish.

Staying at the Olympic Center makes it easy to enjoy the entire weekend without having to travel back and forth. But an overnight stay isn't essential. Come for all three days,

spend just one night, or join us for a single day.

We hope you'll make a weekend of it, but however long you stay, we invite you to settle in

and make the experience your own.

Good to Know: The Olympic Center is an educational and training facility rather than a conventional hotel. Rooms are private and include the essentials, but some disposable amenities normally provided by hotels, including toothbrushes and razors, are not supplied. Hair dryers are provided in D Building rooms; a limited number are available to borrow for guests staying in B Building. Additional necessities can be purchased at the Lawson convenience store in D Building.

Bringing Someone Along

WELL has reserved a limited number of accommodations at the Olympic Center for participants who wish to bring a spouse, partner, or other family member. Accompanying guests, including men, may stay at the Olympic Center, subject to room availability. All arrangements for accompanying guests must be made through WELL's registration process.

Please note that under the Olympic Center's accommodation rules, men and women must stay in separate rooms on separate floors, even if they are married.

Gather, Eat, & Connect

Some of the best conversations at WELL happen outside the formal sessions. The Olympic Center offers several spaces where participants can eat, talk, and spend time together throughout the weekend. WELL 2027 will make use of Cafeteria Fuji, Dashi Labo Café, and the Sakura Room for meals and informal gatherings.

Sakura Room

Located on the 9th floor of D Building, the Sakura Room will be our gathering place on Friday evening. With space for approximately 40 people, a kitchen, and views across Tokyo toward Shinjuku, it provides a relaxed setting to begin the WELL weekend together.

Cafeteria Fuji

Located on the 2nd floor of the Center Building, Cafeteria Fuji is the Olympic Center's main dining facility. WELL participants may reserve meals there through WELL 2027 registration. Advance reservations are required, and meals must be selected during registration; they cannot be added later, including on the day of the meal.

Its large windows overlooking Yoyogi Park give the café a distinctive setting on the Olympic Center campus. Dinner will be limited to approximately 60 participants, with priority given to those registering for the Full Weekend and Saturday Night overnight packages. Reservation details will be available through WELL 2027 registration.

Conference FacILITIES & ACCESSIBILITY

Center Building
Meet & Learn

WELL 2027 has reserved four meeting rooms in the Center Building for presentations, workshops, and group discussions. Three accommodate approximately 40 participants each, while a larger room accommodates up to 80.

A meeting room is reserved for Friday afternoon and evening, while the larger 80-person room is reserved throughout Saturday. These arrangements will help provide continuity between sessions and reduce the need to move presentation materials and equipment.

Friday Arrivals & Materials

Conference registration begins at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, ahead of accommodation check-in at 3:00 p.m. WELL is planning arrangements for temporarily holding luggage and presentation materials, including items sent in advance. Details will be provided before the conference.

Accessibility

The Olympic Center provides elevators throughout the campus, multipurpose toilets, and a limited number of wheelchair-accessible accommodations. Participants with mobility or accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact WELL when registering so that suitable arrangements can be explored in advance.

D Building
Stay & Connect

D Building is the primary accommodation building for WELL participants. It is also home to the Sakura Room, reserved for Friday evening's gathering.
