Make a Weekend of WELL

National Olympics Memorial Youth Center (NIYE) · Yoyogi, Shibuya Ward, Tokyo · March 5–7, 2027

WELL 2027 brings our annual conference and retreat to Yoyogi, Tokyo, for three days of learning, exchange, and fellowship. Join us for the full weekend, stay for one night, or come for the day—there are several ways to take part.

The Venue

The National Olympics Memorial Youth Center (NIYE) is a large educational and training facility in Yoyogi, Shibuya Ward. Established as a legacy of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics on part of the former Olympic Village site, it has welcomed educational and cultural groups from Japan and abroad for more than sixty years.

Its extensive campus brings together spaces for learning, accommodation, dining, and informal gatherings. WELL 2027 will make use of several of these facilities throughout the three-day program.

Experience WELL Your Way

At WELL 2027, the experience extends beyond the conference program. A presentation may lead to a conversation over lunch, a workshop may introduce you to someone whose experiences are very different from your own, and an evening together may become the beginning of a lasting friendship.

There is also room to enjoy the weekend at your own pace—to explore the grounds, catch up with old friends, spend time with someone new, or simply take a quiet moment for yourself.

Whether you come to learn, contribute, reconnect, or discover something unexpected, there is no single way to experience WELL.

We hope you’ll stay for the weekend, but you’re just as welcome to join us for a single day or stay for just one night. We invite you to settle in and make this weekend your own.

Your Stay at NIYE

For those who choose to stay overnight, WELL 2027 has reserved accommodations in two buildings at NIYE, with private single rooms in D Building and a limited number of twin rooms in B Building. This year, all rooms reserved for WELL have private bathroom facilities.

  • Private single rooms
  • Private bath & toilet
  • Free in-room Wi-Fi
  • Airweave bedding
  • Electric kettle & safe

B Building

For those who would prefer to share a room with a friend or fellow participant, WELL has also reserved a limited number of twin rooms in B Building. Good to Know: NIYE is an educational and training facility rather than a conventional hotel. Rooms are private and include the essentials for a comfortable stay, but some disposable amenities normally provided by hotels, including toothbrushes and razors, are not supplied. Hair dryers are provided in D Building rooms; a limited number are available to borrow for guests staying in B Building. Additional necessities can be purchased at the Lawson convenience store in D Building.

Bringing Someone Along

WELL has reserved limited number of accommodations that may allow a spouse, partner, or family member to stay at NIYE while you attend the conference. Accompanying guests, including men, can be accommodated subject to availability, with arrangements made through WELL registration.

Why not make a Tokyo weekend of the trip? While you take part in WELL, your companion can explore the city, and you can enjoy staying together on campus.

Gather, Eat, & Connect

Some of the best conversations at WELL happen outside the formal sessions. NIYE offers several spaces where participants can eat, talk, and spend time together throughout the weekend. WELL 2027 will make use of Cafeteria Fuji, Dashi Labo Café, and the Sakura Room for meals and informal gatherings.

Located on the 9th floor of D Building, the Sakura Room will be our gathering place on Friday evening. With space for approximately 40 people, a kitchen, and views across Tokyo toward Shinjuku, it provides a relaxed setting to begin the WELL weekend together.
